Frequently Asked Questions

The following delivery restrictions apply:

  1. Items ordered can only be delivered to one address at a time. In case the customer wants to ship to multiple addresses, the customer would have to place separate orders and indicate the address where each item would be delivered.
  2. Yes, items ordered can be delivered worldwide.
  3. Items ordered can only be delivered to the customer’s address and not any of the outlets of Captain Bey for pickup.

 

Once your item(s) have been shipped you will receive a confirmation text message where you will find details for tracking your order. In order to track the status of your shipment, use the waybill details on in the receipt to check for updates. You will receive a text message confirmation once your order has been delivered.

If you need further assistance tracking your package, please contact DHL directly on www.dhl.com and provide your tracking number. The waybill number on your receipt is the same as the as your tracking number

If you need to modify your shipping or delivery information after your order has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible. Shipping information, including delivery address, cannot be modified once the order has already been shipped.

For security reasons, an adult’s signature is required upon delivery. If you will be unavailable to sign for your package, contact us and a Client Advisor will arrange to have your order held at a nearby DHL location for pickup.DHL will make a total of three delivery attempts on three consecutive business days. After the third attempt, your order will be returned to our office.

Eligible returns of items purchased on captainbey.com may be made by mail. Items must be returned in accordance with the requirements outlined below, within 14 days from the date of delivery to the Captain Bey return address listed on the return shipping label. Returned items must meet the requirements below in order to be eligible for a replacement;

  1. All items must not be tampered with and must still have on their original tags. Items that have been worn, used, altered or damaged will not be accepted.
  2. Returns on items will only be honored if the label remains intact.
  3. Made to order and customized items are final sale and cannot be returned.
  4. Items purchased at a Captain Bey outlet store cannot be returned through mail via the website of Captain Bey. These items can only be returned to the store where the items were purchased.
  5. All items must match those identified in return request.

Items returned by mail to the warehouse will be processed within approximately 7-10 business days from receipt. You will receive an email confirmation when your replacement process has been completed.

Any original shipping charges incurred at the time of purchase are non-refundable.

Gift items purchased on captainbey.com may be returned. However, replacements may only be issued with the consent of the customer who purchased and paid for the item in question.

Captain Bey accepts the following forms of payment for online purchases;

1. Visa

2. MasterCard

3. Mobile Money

When placing an order, your billing address must match the information linked to your payment method. If your payment is declined, please contact your bank or financial institution for assistance.

Currently, we only accept one form of payment per order.

Made to Order items and bespoke items require full payment at the time the order is placed. Once the order is received on captainbey.com, Captain Bey Client Services will contact you to confirm the order received.

All Captain Bey.com offers are bespoke and get done once we receive the order for it. None of the products of Captain Bey.com is readily available for shipping. Order takes 7 businessdays, before shipping. Shipping takes 5  10 business days depending on one’s location or country.

Captain Bey does not have any form of sales. Thus customers should ignore any posts or adverts that seems to suggest otherwise. If at any point we decide to hold a discount sale, it would be communicated through the appropriate channels to our customers.

 

If an item or size you have selected is not available for purchase on captainbey.com, you will be communicated as soon as your order is received and given the option to choose from what is available.
Our African prints fabrics are printed once in a life time so when a particular displayed design and color is out of stock, customers are notified and given options of what is readily available for use. Captain Bey products are solely bespoke. We produce based on customer’s measurement and specification.

How do I care for my Captain Bey products?

Captain Bey products are made with carefully selected materials and should be handled with care for a longer product life. Each item will ship with an insert that details suggested care information. Our Ready-to-wear has an interior tag with care instructions. For more information or assistance, please Contact Us.

Please contact the very Captain Bey store in which you purchased your product for alterations. Items purchased in store can be returned for alterations twice within a period of three months from purchase date.

Items purchased from captainbey.com should be shipped back to the Captain Bey address for alterations with shipping cost borne by the sender. For further information, please check our online return policy section.

Captain Bey will accept exchanges or returns of eligible items within 14 days of purchase. Items must be unworn, in original condition, in its original packaging and, with original tags attached and accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.

After final tweaks are done after FITTING, Items purchased in store can be returned for alterations twice within a period of three months from purchase date. After that, Captain Bey Stores are not liable for any further alterations. Items can only be returned to the particular store where purchase was made with proof of payment.
